Amanda the great! I say this because you get the feeling when in her presence that you are talking with someone who is different, great, out of the ordinary. It’s like her beautiful soul seeps out of her pores. Okay, that sounded a little weird, but point is I think she’s wonderful.
I met Amanda at Pottery Barn Kids during a nursery event. She was there telling moms about her services. I told her about Mom Around Town, and we grabbed coffee. Amanda is a nurse practitioner with the perfect combination of eastern, western, and naturopathic medical practice. She will spend as long as it takes with someone to get to the bottom of the problem. When I go to the doctor, I often feel like they just want to slap on a big Band-Aid, write a prescription, and call it good. Amanda looks at the whole picture and figures out what the TRUE problem is. She doesn’t just treat symptoms. Amanda also takes the time to hear what is happening in the lives of her patients.
The Healthy Woman Seattle office space is warm and non-medical and welcomes those who might be afraid of a typical doctor’s office. Amanda will also do house calls for established clients who need extra TLC and women who would find it difficult to leave their homes. She specializes in women’s healthcare. The great news is that the cost is just your insurance being billed. Pretty rare to get that kind of care without paying extra fees. I think she would be the perfect person to send your teenage daughter to, for example. Not only does she care about her patients, she prays for them. To me, that is amazing. Pretty sure I’ve never left a medical visit and been prayed for.
