About

Hi, my name is Paige Green, and I’m the Mom Around Town. Thanks for visiting me at my little home on the web. Creative, outgoing, dyslexic, lover of travel, languages, and food—that’s me in a nutshell. I love finding little adventures like pulling over to check out a fruit stand, a yard sale, a lemonade stand, or my absolute favorite, the taco truck.

I love to entertain, and I have the world’s greatest teacher, my mom. I am definitely not a Betty Crocker, Martha Stewart, or Susie Homemaker. I am bumbling and fumbling along with this whole stay-at-home-mom thing. I’m loving the process, learning from my mistakes and excited to celebrate my successes with you. Let’s enjoy the journey, shall we?

I grew up in Seattle, a fifth-generation Seattleite on both sides of the family. After my college years as a University of Colorado Buffalo, I worked as a technical recruiter and a teacher, but I finally found my true passion in acting. You might know me from my Oscar-nominated films 😉 like Ray of Darkness, Gory Gory Hallelujah, and Cruel World.  We all gotta start somewhere, right? The funny thing about my credits is that I am afraid of horror films; I even got scared on set sometimes. I always knew that one day I would want to move home, get married, and have kids. I just didn’t realize how difficult it would be when the time came.

In 2007, I left Los Angeles to move back to Washington and get married. I thought I could never find another career I loved as much as acting—and then came Hayden! 8 years ago, I woke up after delivering my wonderful son with forty pounds still to lose, dark circles that looked like black eyes, and gigantic bags under those. I was so tired I couldn’t see straight. The mission: to find myself in this new body with a new baby, to bring sexy back in this new phase of life. I’m a rookie, so I thought, why not create a place where moms can share ideas and experiences together? This site is designed to be the hand every new mom needs to get through the tough spots and be encouraged. Join me while I explore the most exciting, rewarding job on the planet—motherhood.

Pemberley | My seven-year-old daughter, will a great sense of adventure and a loving spirit. Dixie | Our Border Collie mix rescue doggy, sometimes affectionately called Bird (no clue why).
